Yes, confirmed the same thing with my dealer yesterday. He basically told me to hold tight and just wait until the bike arrives as it only takes a matter of minutes to get approval on one of the cards. The other thing he mentioned is that sometimes after a "better" rate like this one, the first finance outfit (which offered the 5.99%) may match or beat this current offer. :)
I talked to my dealer and the financing offer is good for the Super Ten, PDP notwithstanding as long as the bike is delivered in the time frame. I did go to my local dealer to apply for the Yamaha credit card and the percentage of interest, despite what will be my considerable downpayment on the Super Ten when it's delivered, could not be matched by my bank.
The process took no more than 30 minutes from the time I requested the application and was very smooth. It did take almost two weeks for the "credit card" to be physically delivered to my home address however.
Also, I did not do the approval process through the same dealer from which I'm buying the Super Ten.
I think that given Yamaha sales continuing to be depressed more and more the financing offers will continue.

Agree - Yamaha is hurting, just as many others are.

Thanks for the info on your CC approval process.

So, is everyone currently getting the 3.99% financing from Yamaha?

My bike is sitting at the dealership, and it'll be a few days before I can make the trip. I'm trying to work a deal with my local credit union for 3.75% for 3 years. They already were doing 4.0%, and said if I brought in proof of the Yamaha 3.99% special offer, they would beat it by 1/4 percent. 8)

Never had any issue with Yamaha credit except for the requirement to have a credit card that I won't use. Titles do take a month or two to get back. This is a good fall back option but I hope to pay cash and avoid another payment. Like the 401k option as well but make sure you make the payments and pay it off or Uncle Sam will get you.
Kawasaki does the credit card thing, too. I think that it is a way to hook you into using their credit whenever you buy parts and accessories. I am betting that other purchases on your card are at a much higher interest rate, and make sure that you never pay even one day late or they'll have the authority to raise your rate significantly.

Yamaha has two offers for 3.99%. Method 1 is thru HSBC and it is a credit card. Method 2 is thru GE Finance and it is an installment loan for 36 months.

Thanks for the information on the 3.99% financing. I had to challenge the sales person to get the GE 3.99%. He learned something and I got what I wanted.

So does the dealer get a kickback for selling these finance contracts? Or do they like it better when people pay cash?

Thanks, that is good to know for when I am negotiating the deal. 3.99 is a good rate, and I can always just pay it off early. If the dealer makes money off selling me a finance contract I do not begrudge them that in the slightest.
