Me and a mate managed to get our ferry booked for next year to the TT what a job now we have to look for accommodation didn't think it would be this hard.

Ye it's a tough call..most of those visiting the TT book their accommodation a year or so in advance..

Yes, it's really tricky to get sorted. Plenty of forward planning is the trick, as Tyke rightly says it's often booked while people are there for the year after. The ones that aren't booked are often the very expensive or the plain tatty ones.
That sounds like a cool trip! Hope you enjoy it... I have always wanted to attend the TT.

Really looking forward to it,it's one to tick of the Bucket List.i love my racing tend to go all over.
We wanted to get our ferry tickets sorted first before committing to accommodation,there's plenty of camping at the moment to fall back on.but would like a BB,I did find one but I think it sounded pretty poor and no bike parking,but that's gone now.

You could always do it the way i did at the time - go out with a girl who has family on the Isle of Man. Worked a treat - free digs and a bed warmer thrown in too ::008::

As has been said accommodation for the TT is extremely difficult, the North West 200 (NW200) which precedes the TT by a couple of weeks ~ is a great place to see road racing, its in Northern Ireland and believe me it's well worth the visit, its also more accessible... here's a sample ::008::RoboCop said:

Your right done it twice loved it.
Keep an eye on the island website. In the first couple of months of the new year they will reopen the home stay site where island residents can advertise their spare rooms for tt visitors. I've used it a couple of times now and had good results.
