2012 Super Tenere - $6800
I’ve been a member since 2014. I bought this bike to do some epic long rides. In 2014
I rode from Wisconsin on a 5 week solo ride to Alaska and that fall to Arkansas for a Super
Tenere ride-in. The following summer I rode around Lake Superior. Those three trips account
for over 16,000 of the 20,981 miles on the odometer now. The rest of the miles are a couple of overnight rides into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and lots of short little rides over the next couple of years.
I’ve had some medical issues that ended my riding days almost 4 years ago. I have a brother and some other buddies who’ve taken the Super Tenere for rides just so I could empty the tank and put fresh gas in it. It’s also had oil changes while I basically stored it since 2017. The front forks were rebuilt by
a Yamaha dealer in 2014. One side leaked a little last year when the bike was moved from where it had been sitting awhile but hasn’t leaked since. The tires are Heidenau K60 Scouts with a little over 1500
miles on them. I have the stock parts boxed up and they’ll come with the bike. I haven’t had any issues with this bike and other than a couple of standing still tip overs it’s never been crashed.
