BikeBandit is running a special thru Sunday (Nov 27th) on Garmins. $100 off most models, with free shipping. Also an additional 10% off if you are a AMA member.

I just bought a Garmin Zumo 665 for $629.99 shipped. The cheapest place I could find before this sale was at www.megagps.com for $729.99 shipped.

These are brand new.

Great deal!

Can anyone recomend a bike mounted GPS that is waterproof and that can be used for hiking as well? I am looking to get a nice unit the only option I do not want is 2-way radio.

Thanks...

After looking for a new GPS for a year, I finally decided on the Garmin Montana - seems the best do-it-all GPS at the moment. Big thread here;

What finally pushed me over the edge was a great deal on a 650T @ $480 from EMS on Wednesday last week - none left now though. Best I can see right now is $589 http://www.gpscity.com/garmin-montana-650t.html

If you don't need the bigger screen, the Oregon line does most of the same stuff, is cheaper but a 3" screen instead of the 4" of the Montana.

Bike Bandit had the Cyber Monday sale today...20% off the entire site, plus the 10% AMA discount, plus a $10 gift card I had left over from last year's IMS show, plus free shipping, and I scored a pair of Bridgestone 023 GTs for the FJR for $171 shipped.

My work GPS is the Oregon and I'd strongly advise AGAINST it for use on the bike. The screen is just a bit narrower, but crosses the line into being too small.

Plus, the Oregon is hard to see in daylight. As a hiking and work GPS it's really good but the display is frustrating to use on the bike.
