FWIW, I test rode my '12 (delivery tomorrow) which has the 21.25" sport/touring V-stream shield but no Madstad bracket, and I had enough buffeting on my helmet to make me order a Madstad bracket right away. I'm 6'-5". Changing the height and angle of the shield may well resolve the buffeting...
