I've got a 2012 with ~8500 miles, and I'm replacing the clutch basket with a 2014 for vibration reduction. All went well until I got down to what I think is the last metal plate. It won't come out---seems like maybe it's jammed on the splines. There's one more fiber plate under it. I can rotate...

Being the dolt that I am, before reading this thread I removed my new auto tensioner from its box and pressed on the plunger, which of course immediately extended fully. I've studied these posts, and the cordless drill option seems like the easiest for resetting the post. I have no problem...

From a previous post on this forum (thanks) I learned of the desirability of upgrading my +8K miles 2012 S10 with a newer clutch basket and CCT. I'm pasting in a screenshot from my cart at Partzilla; does it look like I've chosen the proper components?

I have a local Cycle Gear. I don't suppose that you mean that the holder tool was a loaner? If not, what was the approximate cost?

I'll need to read up on the TB re-sync, to see if I need any specialized tools. I'm going to start planning the clutch basket replacement this week.

Thanks all. Guess I should have mentioned; mines a 2012, so I guess it's Gen1. Bought it last year with only 5.5K miles. It was immaculate condition (still is), and I'm up to a bit better than 8K miles now. Is the Gen 2 bike really that much better, assuming one is not really planning on riding...

I've been thinking about getting something to hopefully reduce a bit of the handlebar vibration---any suggestions?
