Airscrew Adjustment to fix off-idle stumble and Throttle Body Sync - w/ pigtails

My first thoughts, but a quick look under the tank on my return home and both look well. Do the air screws ever move, unlikely I know but I want to eliminate things I may have caused by last week's adjustments

Airscrew Adjustment to fix off-idle stumble and Throttle Body Sync - w/ pigtails

A bit of help please. I did the air screw adjustment and throttle sync last week and was over the moon with the results. I set out on a 450mile up to the Scottish borders three days since and it was running perfectly, however over the three days it has started to stutter again and has...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

After tolerating poor low speed running for far too long, I finally invested in a pair of balance gauges. I followed the instructions in the knowledge base section. Painted air screw out 3/4 from fully in and the set the right hand cylinder to match. As I had the tank up I also to the...

    Plug sticks

Has anyone peeled off the metal shrouds on the plug sticks. I assume they are there as an interference guard. I would have thought being deep in the cam cover that would have been an adequate shield. I'd like to take mine off to reduce the risk of the high tension shorting to earth. Opinions?

    Spark plug/ht coil guard

Just knocked together a guard to protect the plug ht caps against the worst of the weather. I sourced a cheap laptop pc support from ikea, cut it down to the dimensions I obtained using a cardboard template and attached with heavy duty double sided adhesive tape. Quite pleased with the results

    Spare OEM Spokes Wanted

I purchased some rear spokes off an ebay dealer in the uk who was splitting a full set. Just an idea, why not ask 3 or 4 others on your side of the pond to split a group purchase. Given the the reported history of the s10 for breaking rear spokes I'm sure there will be a few willing to join the...

    25000 valve check

Has anyone in the northern UK had their 25000 valve check service carried out by a dealer. Who did you use?, were you happy with the quality of their work?, how much did they charge? Did you take the opportunity to retrofit the updated cam chain tensioner at the same time? Thanks in advance.

    2016 Isle of Man TT

Keep an eye on the island website. In the first couple of months of the new year they will reopen the home stay site where island residents can advertise their spare rooms for tt visitors. I've used it a couple of times now and had good results.

Running out of seat options, any suggestions?

Are you sure your problem is the seat and not your seating position. You could get some adjustable footrests, fore/aft/up/down and a set of rox risers and try different permutations which will allow you to vary the ergonomics of your total body position. I'm not saying this woud be the...

    Group Dynamics when touring

thanks for all the replies, however what I was really looking for was an insight into how the interpersonal relationships and dynamics affected the tours over the period of the ride. Were there fallouts, did the group split, how was harmony rebuilt, etc

    Group Dynamics when touring

Hi, I'm trying to pull together a presentation on the benefits and problems of motorcycle touring in a group size of around 6. I'm not particularly interested in groups run by commercial companies but would still appreciate any feedback from leaders or participants of those tours. What I want...

    Newb from England

Hi there Wispy, Dave from huddersfield here. S10 and BMW are two completly different bikes. S10 has more bulk and presence, BM is perhaps a little more agile due to it being a bit lighter. One suggestion however, if you find you prefer the BM then explore the possiblity of a Yamaha TDM900...
