Had EXACTLY the same problem after my Dealer changed my oil. They also used "Yamalube". I am convinced it came out of the shop 'hose', bulk oil. Clutch was super inconsistent and 'grabby'. Had to change oil and filter 3 times before it was 'cured'. Get a couple gallons of the cheap yamalube...

2013 41000 miles, both reset and temp function buttons failed today. will probably replace cluster.

Did 500miles of B roads today. Best bike has run that I can remember. Did every service mentioned on these pages to cure Rough running, hanging idle, a few hard starts. New Battery = New Bike!

The standard battery lost power so slowly (4 years old) that it was not real noticable. Thought it must need a tune up. Info here made me consider (hope) it could be Battery related. When the bike sat at the Gas Station with the Sidestand down and key left on for a few minutes, it finished it...

Right! Yuasa YTZ14S. Mine came with YTZ12S, always started, felt labored. 14S fires to life instantly, bike immeadiately ran perfect for the first time in about 8,000 miles. Was prepping it to go to the shop, now I will be going riding instead!! ::022::

Kind of late to the party but, my brakes were pulsing under moderate/hard braking. Thought I might need new rotors after 30000 miles of spirited riding. Pulled the calipers and pads. Scrub roters with purple Scotchbrite pad. Scrub pad retaining pins until clean/smooth. Sanded pads (EBC HH)...

Just know it works. Rode into Cycle Mall of Orange, Ca. Handed over 200. and rode off 1 hour later with a much improved bike.
