What comes after the Super Tenere?

That is what I have done….upgrade an older S10 for a new S10. I bought a low mileage 2022 BMW R1250GS and bought/traded in my 2021 S10 for a new 2023 S10 eight months later. I am selling the BMW this summer after riding it to the national BMWOA rally in Bend, Oregon. The S10 is staying.

Concern about weight of Givi Outback Trekker top box

Just some FYI on luggage weight. I bought a used 2022 BMW R1250GS that came with the Vario side cases and a GivI Trekker 42 L top box. All three boxes are heavy….very heavy empty. Per Givi’s info, the Trekker weighs 13.29 lbs empty. Mine has the passenger back pad which must add another...

    Key Problems

I would spray the inside of the lock/ignition cylinder with contact cleaner and clean/polish the key with 0000 steel wool or a scotch brite pad to see if that helps…..it won’t hurt.

    Lesson learned

It looks like the white 2013 front fender is still available from the parts diagram on Rocky Mountain ATV. $141.00 https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-schematic/4?FirstChoice=YAM&SecondChoice=3051&ThirdChoice=3528&FourthChoice=3542&assemblySchematic=614672

    Key Problems

Is it the original key? The bike comes with two OEM keys and I always have two extras cut at the local locksmith.

    Unpleasant Surprise

I would check the valve cover bolts to ensure they are tight/snugged down before replacing the gasket. I left one finger tight several years ago, it leaked, and when re-tightened properly quit leaking.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

TenereGuy gave me a set of lightly used OEM tires a couple of months ago and I mounted up the rear tire today…..no rebalancing was needed. Thanks TenereGuy! I’ll wear it out in short time.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

My seven month old 2023 S10 turned 8000 miles today……time for an oil/filter change, a clean/lube of the clutch, front/rear brake, and shift levers points. I also gave it a thorough wash and detail.

Yes….as did the S10 at least once.

Melted gauge cluster - Vstream windshield

I am guessing that the sun hit the ST1300 windshield at just the correct angle to turn it into a magnifying glass. Honda replaced the dash under warranty……the second slight burn it was not replaced and after that, a white tshirt was placed over the shield when parked outside.

    Deal on SW-Motech Evo pegs

So, that’s why they were on sale. I have the SW Motech Ion pegs on my ‘23 S10 which fit with no modifications. They are slightly lower in the low position compared to the stock pegs.

Melted gauge cluster - Vstream windshield

I had the same dash melting twice on my Honda ST1300 with the original shield. The same problem/damage occurred on my 2015 Super Tenere and I made a dash hood out of first plastic, then rubber to prevent damage to the dash surround on my 2015 and my current 2023 S10 ES. Plus, I do slip an old...

    Chain Breaker and Riveter.

I bought this chain press and pin flare tool many, many moons ago when motorcycle magazines ruled the world. Like others, I always use an edge grinder to remove the old chain. I press and flare the new chain master link with this tool. It is stout.
