the bar position is just a little better. 10mil up and back. but one thing i noticed is that the rubber mounted bar risers on the 2014 actualy give a little more vibration throught the bars than my rigid 2012.

ive got the 2012 next to my es2014 and the seat foam and shape is also different on the 2014.

On my 2014 es i have a valve tapping sound (maybe something else) for the first 10 mins into a ride and then seems to go away and then i have the regular super ten engine sound. even if the engine warms up to operating temps it still does it. it's like the engine parts need to be all expanded...

as for slower speeds riding the bike is much better than my 2012. that is exactly the issue i had with my 2012. lugging knocking kind of low end engine caracter that has been completely revised with the 2014 and more. much more refined and smoothed.

if you are planning on riding long distances at 80 + mph it's not the ideal bike for that. up to 80 mph the bike just rides so well but after that it doesnt like being there for medium long terms. (with side cases that is)

same issue with the c same deal as me as far as color goes. growing on me a little also.

there are 4 screws at the bottom corners of the cases and i will sealed these good and see what happens.

i had the new trax boxes on my 2012 v-strom 650 exp. and after rain rides sometimes forgot to open the boxes and dry them (a pain compared to dry boxes) well i was rewarded with mildew all over gear. gross and not needed. and these inner bags (what help is that?) still need to unload the boxes...

never liked my 2012 motor either. went with the 2014 es super t and its a totaly different engine. super smooth.
