If the two wires are in the same connection together the turn signals only blink at half the brightness.

Thanks for the info. I was trying to read the wiring schematics in the manual I downloaded and the one I found online but both were so granulated and pixelated when I zoomed in to see what was what it was unreadable.

I made my own. I work on aircraft so there's lots of scrap aircraft grade aluminum around to make fun little projects with. I'll post pictures of what I did so if anybody else wants to do it they can hack off their back fender as well

Yeah these 2nd gen with led signals use the front as running lights also.
