The service manual calls out Moly for the pumpkin end of the shaft, and lithium soap for the transmission end. I wonder why the difference? Yamalube Race Grease is one option for the things that call for LS.

I had the same question as the OP, but didn't find an answer anywhere. Put OEM cases on today, weighed them. 33 lbs total. ~12 lbs each side + 9 lbs for the mounts. For comparison, I weighed my first generation Bumot when those went on my '13, they were 31 lbs total.

The other thing about YES is that you can get a refund for the unused portion at any point in the life of the contract. If you decide against it later, you can request it and you'll get a check from the dealer.
