Madstad bracket & windshield for the Tenere

@Mallardmission: I emailed Madstad yesterday to ask about buying only the bracket and their reply was: I think prices are in USD.

    accessory bar

@EricV Wow! Super helpful / solid answer. Thank you. I have a 2016 Super Ten 1200 ES, which from what I can see on the Madstad site needs a Gen II mount / adjuster. Which, if I understand your notes correctly, means that the Touratech windscreen won’t fit as it their website says it "Fits...

Madstad bracket & windshield for the Tenere

Are the side wind deflectors worth buying? I’m 6’4” and experience quite a lot of wind noise / turbulence and am not sure if it’s my stock (“tall”) windshield or air coming around the sides.

    accessory bar

Drilling new holes in the windshield or in the Madstad Gen 2 mount? I ask because I am pondering getting the Madstad mount (I want the ⅞” accessory bar and “support arms”) but would like to be able to mount a Touratech adventure windshield and got wondering if the Touratech windshield will fit...

    Installing QuadLock with wireless charging

Got the QuadLock mount and Optimate tender cable fitted. Bit of a job getting the faring off and past the crash bars but pretty easy all in all. Thanks for the tips and pointers.

    Installing QuadLock with wireless charging

Found a good definition for “farkle” :). Always something new to learn.

    Installing QuadLock with wireless charging

Yeah, I have crash bars installed (see obligatory “brag” photo below … yeah, I’m proud of her). Good suggestion.

    Installing QuadLock with wireless charging

Thanks @RCinNC. Super helpful. Amazing to see just how much “stuff” / engineering is packed into the bike. I’m gonna try my QuadLock on the accessory bar and see how I fare. My phone + QuadLock mount / wireless charger isn’t too heavy, I think. If it vibrates too badly then I’ll see about...

    Installing QuadLock with wireless charging

@TenereGUY, this thread? If so, I see you mention holding the tank up with a bungee cord. How do I actually get the tank off / loose in the first place? On my Boulevard it was easy… I took the seats off and loosed two bolts. To mount on the farkle bar, did you use the regular handlebar from...

    Installing QuadLock with wireless charging

@WJBertrand, a few (perhaps dumb) questions: What is the farkle bar? How did you get the wiring under the seat? Did you have to remove the fuel tank? And if so, how? I’m thinking to mount mine in between the forks on the handlebar but am open to better suggestions.

Hydraulic clutch surprisingly hard to pull

I’ll ask him. Any way I could tell looking at the bike?

Hydraulic clutch surprisingly hard to pull

@thughes317 You’re the second one (my neighbour / biker buddy) said the same last night. His advice was to keep practicing and let my left hand strengthen

    Installing QuadLock with wireless charging

Does anyone have experience installing a QuadLock phone mount on a Tenere? The mount itself is easy but mine has a wireless charging head that I need to wire to the battery. Ideally the wiring will be cable-tied to the frame and hidden. On my old bike I removed the seats and fuel tank, attached...

I’ll give that a try and see what mileage I get. Thanks

Suggestion for a brake disc bike lock

Thanks @Sierra1. I hadn’t considered someone simply taking the wheels off.

Hydraulic clutch surprisingly hard to pull

Just watched a couple of videos (including this one, which was pretty good) and it looks doable. Ordered a vacuum bleeder kit from Amazon and will replace the brake and clutch fluid this week.
