fixed the tower bolt. i was thinking that little metal tab had to go inside the tower, it's actually there to hold onto the nut outside. got it all snugged down. i'll keep an eye on it going forward. probably should have thrown some loctite on but we'll see how it holds up without it

oh i was gonna just do a higher rise. nope haven't screwed wit the tower yet. i keep forgetting about it till i'm on a chowdery road haha.

the light will be up your ass every cold start if you're on the low side! that thing is super sensitive. being a dry sump system i would agree, probably would take a lot to overfill in any meaningful way.

that should work for me! my NY ride is typically early july. I'll slap a new rear tire on after that and be ready for this one.

it's an excellent tool. it's the 1200 shaft drive adv bike that can actually cash the check. dead reliable, easy to service, as simple as it can be made.

pretty much just buckhorn canyon to stove prairie then up 14 to walden. I'll get some screenshots together tonight. it's a route i can about do with my eyes closed.

Weather is looking encouraging for this weekend. I'll try to pre-run up to Cameron pass Friday afternoon and see how much glare ice we're gonna be coming across.

nice meeting the guys i didn't know before! great ride all around. that weather was off the hook. no clouds, no wind, just nice. thinking about putting together a ride from fort collins to cowdrey CO. will likely take buckhorn canyon to stove praire road, then run about 70 miles up highway...

honestly the super tenere is one of the most confidence inspiring steeds i've ridden. It can go plenty hard on any road ride. it does get a little loose past 100mph, that's a bit out of its design envelope, but it'll do it.

i run premium... previous owner i think ran 85 or 87 mostly. if i can't get 91 i don't sweat it and run whatever they have.
