Stay away from this Air filter

Something to watch out for. I just replaced my unifilters that were seven years old and the inner foam section was crumbly to the touch.

    Coolant Change the easy way

Many thanks to @2daMax for the tutorial. Did it today with flushes of demin water as I don't know the brand of what was in there. I'm not very handy, however, the tutorial made it easy.

They don't appear to have a built in fan for cooling. I installed these 2 years and 17000km previously. They fit with standard caps and are still going strong...

Picking up new Ténéré on Saturday - question

Wouldn't hurt to do a ping test for spoke tension before you actually ride it. A small bicycle tension wrench is a good investment for later.

Maybe, as a precautionary safeguard, words such as prophylactic should be prevented, just in case.:)

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Valve clearance check, first one - 51000km - all in the middle of range. Throttle body sync - not far out. ECU didn't like it , ABS, TCS, and engine fault lights came up. Mechanic eventually cleared them. Installed new Iridium spark plugs and replaced the foam airfilter pods. Bike is 2016 so...

    THREAD DRIFT/BLOAT - discussion

I have found some really useful information on this site and I am grateful for the generosity of those posting. For example, I didn't know there were such things as radiator coolant test strips. Finding that out saved me time and money. It makes it worthwhile, to me, to scroll through the less...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

205/45-17. Heaps to choose from in this size. I was concerned about the width but plenty of Vstrom riders use the 205. 195/55 hard to find here. I went with the 45 profile to lower the gearing for the sidecar. Plenty of 205/55-17 here. I have now travelled 2500km with no issues. Had to have a...

Super Tenere ES rear shock removal

I replaced both the front and rear ES shocks when setting up for sidecar duty [ for sale in Australia if anyone is interested]. Other than a suspension fault light on the dashboard, the ECU doesn't seem bothered.

Can somebody on here talk me through brake fluid change thanks

Not using a vacuum pump - just operating the brake lever/pedal. Its impossible for air to enter if there is a column of fluid in the hose taking the old brake fluid away. Got to keep master cylinder topped up of course.
