    Cell phone mounts

I use the Mob Armor claw mount, It's a local company to me, and holds my Iphone 6 well. They sell two different sizes for larger or smaller devices. It is NOT easy to get the phone in and out with gloves. Though my husqvarna sumo vibrates so much the mount did loosen up and dropped my phone. I...

open ended wrench on fork caps?

All of mine have the chamfer on them. I considered taking one of them to the belt sander when doing transfer case/ trans/ differential oil changes on my Toyota. Very short head on the drain bolts, much like the fork caps.

open ended wrench on fork caps?

Should I risk cracking the aluminum fork caps loose with an open end wrench, or do I run the chance of chewing up the head of the alum caps without using a 6 point socket on them? I only have shallow 24mm sockets..

    Air Hawk Seat Cushion

I actually have a Sargent, which would explain the difference in slipperiness. I haven't tried the saddle tite, its on my list to get a can of it. Some riders on ADV suggested it to someone else facing the same issue. I am interested to try a few drops of water and see if that does it for me. My...

    Air Hawk Seat Cushion

Mine too, my riding pants have me straddling the tank every time I let off the throttle. Try saddle tite or similar from a tack shop. Its a spray for leather horse saddles that makes them grip.

    Screen cleaning

My screen was very scratched from the previous owner, he must have dry cleaned it regularly. I removed it from the bike and polished it with some cutting compound on a wool polishing pad with a drill, followed by polishing compound on a fresh wheel. cleaned up everything but the really heavy...

What is this idling noise? CCT?

Yup, this engine has a very looooong cam chain. It is just a noisy engine, even after swapping in a manual tensioner my engine still sounds like this. Normal

2012 Engine dramatically overfilled with oil

Well after swapping in the manual tensioner i've go no more noise, At 10,000 miles my CCT was clicking at startup, and even clicking while riding. I haven't read about anybody else complaining about their cam chain making any sort of noise except at startup (or on very high mileage bikes the...

2012 Engine dramatically overfilled with oil

I wanted to update, I pulled the lid to the airbox and found very little oil for the engine being 2 quarts overfilled. The clear bulb on the bottom contained a half tsp. and there was a tiny bit of residue on the bottom of the box. (also checked the spark plugs while I had the tank off) Engine...

2012 Engine dramatically overfilled with oil

@Boris Found it, thanks. I will wait until i pull the tank next weekend. It looks like there may be oil in the clear bulb, but if i pull it off it will drain oil all over the engine and bike!

2012 Engine dramatically overfilled with oil

I'm finding 3 drain tubes under the bike, the two on the left are cut off at an angle and are fuel evap lines, the tube on the right looks like it isn't going up to the air box. none have a cork on em. Any idea where the airbox drain tube is at?
