That is how I ran mine, with the stock muffler. It does add some power that you can certainly feel and it smooths out the power delivery a lot (not as jerky). Thanks

The Yamaha website says it is 2 inches taller than stock. It is pretty obvious if you look at a stock S-10 on the Yamaha website and then look at this one on the Yamaha website (under the accessory tab). This one worked well for me, but I am not that picky.
