    Sturgis! on a Tenere

::026:: Great riding around the area as long as it's nowhere around the time of the rally. Badlands, Custer National forest, Devil's Tower, etc, etc....

Is it just me to take notice with KLR riders?

Ride both.... Some riders are wavers, others not... I do wave but don't feel snubbed if someone isn't a "waver"... I just curse their ancestors and children.... ::025::

Today's lesson- why you should only use OEM brake pads

I am all of those and got 22k out of my back....and they probably could have easily gone another 5k. Was heading to Baja so decided changing was better than wondering..

    Brake/Clutch bleed

Did a google search and couldn't find it.... What I gather is so just bleed the clutch...no biggie. What I also gather is to do the R caliper, then L, the back. Does this sound about right?

Rumbux upper/Yamaha lower crash bar fitment FUBAR

Okay....update! Eric got my pics, sent 'em to Rumbux and they did some measuring. Turns out after trying an existing bar on a bike, their jig was a bit messed up and the end of the uppers was not trimmed properly...probably about 3-5mm off. In other words, there needs to be another 3-5mm cut...

Rumbux upper/Yamaha lower crash bar fitment FUBAR

So, I bought the Rumbux uppers to mate with my Yamaha lower crash bars. Bought them many months ago and finally got off my ass today to get'er done! Happiness did not follow. Installation seemed simple enough. Pulled of the upper Yammie bar and then the lower Yammie part to mate with the...

    FYI : K 60's don't need air

Hiya Tim!! The part that amazes me is they cross threaded the axle. ??? That takes some real effort!! Wouldn't think your riding it should have caused any internal damage. Possibly riding it for a while with whatever was in there did your damage. Have had the same happen on another tire.

    September West Coast Rally...Sort of....

Actually Branscomb is now fully paved. GREAT tight twisties with almost no traffic. Hwy 1 between Leggett and Rockport is great until you get behind a few motorhomes or trailers doing about 15mph.... Rarely do they use the pull-offs to allow passing. One must occasionally resort to a...

    September West Coast Rally...Sort of....

Okay....where's the ride report..... ::005:: Anyway, the campground next to the KOA is cheaper...but...no showers, cabins (for us creaky/cranky old bastidges) and the wind blows through that place like....well, never mind..... ::025::
