Just installed my braces and want to make sure I didn't miss something... Am I correct in saying the shield mechanism will no longer lock into the four adjustment settings once the braces are on? .

If you guys are in a group I'd think about doing the Alpine Loop. Just don't be afraid to ask for help if you get to something you're not comfortable with. It's not terribly technical and there's only a short section of "ledgy" trail (between Lake City and Cinnamon) and the road is plenty wide...
