Just finished 5000km trip. Averaged 5L/100km. About 8-10 km/hr over posted speed limit most of the time. Way over the other times. Fully loaded with camping gear I'd rather be riding!

Wicked, I'm on the wait list for the Aug 31 sailing! Did not think that space would be an issue. Apparently the wait list started at the end of May. Will keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the info. I submitted a reservation request today for Aug 31. Hope that is enough time in advance to secure a spot. I'll have to look into the Port Alberni, Lake Cowichan route. Was not aware that you could get through from Port Refrew to either. I'd rather be riding!

At the end of August beginning of Sept I have 18 days off. I'll be leaving Fort McMurray, A.B. and heading for Victoria B.C. via Bella Coola B.C. solo. I have always wanted to do this trip. On my 14 with 3000km on it today I have averaged 5.5l/100km or 42.5 U.S. mpg. I imagine that will get better?

Well I have mine mounted now and it seems to be a good fit with the E45. Have not taken it for a ride yet to see if it makes any noise.
