I think the difference is the offset on the Gen 2 so they are a bit longer. Am not certain on that though Rob. Am not home for a couple of days but will dig them out. I would be happy to post them to you and if you dont use them just post them back. No payment required.

Good cause that one, wish I'd known that I would be out of work I would have put my name in, good luck and well done.
Thank-you, always trying to raise a few quid for a worthy cause. Also passionate about endurance motorcycling. Maybe one day you will manage it.

on a side note, i have got that large 8 gallon tank home in the garage, UK weather is pretty shit we know that the top of the tank is lucky for me the white of the bike i have so not needed to paint blue, black grey to match the bike. its in godd condition to , but while its off and upside down and before i put it on the bike, i was going to clean the bottom section up and hand paint it with a brush a layer of white hammerite smooth to give the underneath a good protection can,t hurt can it what do you guys think

It won't hurt anything and I've had very good bond adhesion with Hammerite products. Clean with denatured alcohol or brake cleaner, and have at it.

Did it come with larger dia. vent/overflow hoses? If not, make sure to source those ahead of time.

no hoses, your right they are larger look like 10mm ID, looked on ebay for 10mm fuel hoses but most are reinforced for carrying fuel these arn,t it looks like i can get nitril rubber hose thats not reinforced need about 2meters i,d say

2 meters should do nicely. I bought 6' and it was not quite enough. IIRC I got some .375 I.D. fuel hose. 10mm I.D. hose may be a tad loose. Vacuum line if you can find it should work. It's not under pressure during fuel overflow, but too thin and it would be subject to crimping more easily, which would be a problem on the vent line. They do sell 9mm silicone vacuum lines and refer to them as 9mm(3/8"). Maybe nip a couple of test pieces at the store and see what you like best before buying 2 meters?

Is this the silcone one i can use Eric, they have it with 9mm to

rob
Should work fine. Not rated for fuel, but for what you are using it for it will be fine. Just remember that with silicone hose, they can't handle pressure.

Honestly, I would see what the local auto, marine or hardware stores have in bulk first. Likely cheaper and it's not something most will see except at the bottom.
