TracTive shock

Looking for a new shock for the Tenere and see several shops selling the TracTive shock . Anyone have one and what are your thoughts?

I purchased one from the beemer shop. I'm a big guy, 285 lbs. So obviously the factory was pretty inadequate.

I need to take the time to set my sag and try setting it up properly. But even with it just bolted on the way it arrived. It is night and day different from stock. I'm very happy with mine.

The 1600 bucks is a lot. But I already saved money buying a used Tenere. Any bike I buy will need setup for my weight.

BTW, I one day may setup the front forks for my weight. But for mostly aggressive road riding. I'm pretty happy with my current setup.

I have never talked with a disappointed owner of a Tractive suspension. Regardless of the moto, I would probably start with a call to The Beemer Shop.

Are you guys buying the new shock with electronic dampening or manual preload?

I don't know if any vendor is offering the electric versions for the ST; I have only seen the manual.

I am buying a shock for a non ES model.

I ordered from Ted when I replaced the ESA stuff on my 19 1250 GS. Good guy, good product. After I got it installed I called and left him a VM about some perceived issues I was having. That's when I realized that the service was worth the costs. He called me back and we spent 1.5 hours on the phone. He explained every adjustment in detail, paused while I took notes. Recommended settings for my weight, weight with luggage, road conditions. wife on board. Truly a class act. Congrats on your purchase. Prepare to be impressed.
