New Clutch and CCT Installation

This forum has been a great resource for me ! I am no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination but I have always been confident in doing most of my own service/maintenance on our autos, lawn equip and motorcycles.
I ordered and recieved my upgraded clutch and cct for my 2013 S10 from Web bikes Japan. I've never cracked open a motorcycle enging before. I was hoping that someone on this site has a step by step guide on how to remove and install these two parts.... I do not have a service manual but I am good with pictures and following instructions...LOL Do I need any special tools to tackle this install?

You will need a clutch holding tool (eBay/Amazon) and a torque wrench that goes up to 130nm. Note, there is no need to drain the oil for these jobs. Also, on the inside of the clutch cover, there are two locating dowels, make sure they don’t fall out when removing the cover.

The clutch swap is straightforward and logical once you open it up. Only remove the plates that come out in bulk, the spring and plates behind it don’t need to come out.

There’s stuff in here you won’t need, but you can use the bits you do,

But for a couple of tools you may not have, changing out the clutch is no big deal, but you are going to be in a world of shit if you try to change that CCT with an other OEM one if you don't know what you're doing. My advise would be to go with a manual CCT if this is your first time in an engine. And, before you do anything, GET A SERVICE MANUAL!!

Need a few TQ wrenches as well...... Japanese engines require the proper TQ........

Highly suggest a service manual !



(Not that anyone suggested or mentioned this- but just because it's a motorcycle, no one can tighten a bolt as if it's a big bulldozer, where tight is good and tighter is better............... YEA--NO )

Hello, I also plan to update the clutch basket.
Has anyone already installed the clutch basket(2bs-16150-00-00) from Japan webike?
If so what is your experience so far.

I changed mine with that part # (which I purchased from Yamaha Canada). It was a piece of cake to change. The video above helped a lot.

It's an expensive upgrade but it works great. Engine noise down and best of all it eliminated that funny vibration/growl you get around 3000 RPM.

But I am looking for someone who ordered this part from Webike Japan.(it's a lot cheaper there)
The question is, is there a difference in quality and fit with Yamaha's product?

The one you get from Webbike will be the oem original basket. "Chav" in the post linked below ordered one from Webbike. You might contact him and see how it worked out for him. I've ordered from Webbike and got the correct parts very fast.

Dear friends, Sorry if this has been asked before, I did search before asking but I was only able to find threads about benefits and specific part numbers. I keep reading that this is a "300-400 bucks upgrade", but as far as I can see the basket alone costs almost 700 bucks on Stadium Yamaha...
