I recently rode that exquisite machine. My short version is: It feels more agile than its predecessors but (maybe inherently) not as planted to me. I rode the Trophy trim (no off pavement riding). Didn't mess with any tech. Auto adjusting windscreen is cool! Quickshifter feels a little smoother. Still can't get with the telelever front end suspension. Overall, the power and the package feels too close to the 1250; whereas the 1200 to the 1250 is quite noticeable. This or the 1250? 1250 for that more planted feel on those extra windy Texas days

I'm the odd man out.... With the hype of the 1300 GS, I started watching out for a GSA. I won't buy the 1st year 1300, even though the self lowering suspension (ala Pan Am) is a nice addition. My current plan is to let the S10 go and put a 23 or 24 1250 GSA in its place.
