so the problem is....I am looking for a waypoint, so I cant turn them off.
With Gaia, you can organize your routes (and associated waypoints) or just waypoints themselves into different folders and then turn folder visibility on/off to hide any routes/waypoints contained in said folder. New Gaia user here......the learning curve is much shorter than Basecamp, OnX, etc. and I am absolutely loving it so far.

If you select "Saved Items" on the left side, you can find waypoints, tracks, routes, and folders. If you hover over any items, you can select whether to make them viewable. That is the best way to limit the noise. For better or worse, selecting items to be viewable does not carry over between devices, so if you want to limit what is shown on your phone or tablet, you will need to make the update there.

Hope this helps:

Here is a shot of my folders in the Saved Items, you'll note that there is a little eyeball with a line through it icon to the right of almost all of the folders:

Here is a shot of what appears on the map when I "unhide" the 2023 Western Tour folder:

I know you're saying to yourself "I don't have those eyeball icons!". Well, you probably do but you need to hover your cursor over the area circled in red to get it to appear (glitch in the matrix maybe?):

Here's what they look like in the Android mobile app:

ok, I am making progress, I knew about the "eye".......I have just realized that I have some duplicated, so I am deleting and making new folders.

so there is a "second one", if you have multiple tracks in a folder, you can make it visible or not there as well

ironic as I was on a FB group, and they were talking about the "MUM version" of a map for SxS. I was never able to get that up even thou I have the premium version.

Yep, you can hide things on a very granular level as individual items (routes, tracks, waypoints, etc.) or toss a bunch in a folder and just hide the folder (which hides everything inside of it too).

Learning curve? Yeah, but still much simpler than Basecamp (in my opinion).

Do you know if we can buy the DMD Tablet T-865 in the US ? Ive poked around to see what the US price might be, have not found it..... That looks like an interesting unit to read up on....
There is a least one vendor in the Us that I have seen on the forums. I can't for the life of me remember or find the name. Bad case of CRS.

What if you use Gaia for street travel, does it guide by the lanes at intersections like Garmin or Waze?
I know you can create "routes," and it will do nav like Waze, but I never use that feature. If you are in the middle of nowhere and select a point on the map, I am unsure if it will do traditional navigation like some other solutions. It's just not something I use it for. For me, Gaia is more like conventional paper map navigation but with a constantly updating "you are here" icon. If I am traveling onroad, I always use Waze (once I have cell service)

I had never heard of a Beeline GPS but bought a used one to try.
Its brilliant.
Program everything on your phone or ipad then put it away.
