So. . . . like a moustache? They look better with a light bar under there
Anyone put a beak on ST?
What kind? Pictures? Opinions?
It is amazing how many people, either those who ride or those who do not confuse at a distance or with a quick glance the Yamaha Tuning ForkOf course, if they cant read the Yamaha Super Tenere markings, they probably can't read that either.
For those who might not know a quick bit of Yamaha Tuning Fork / Yamaha word trivia:I've had lots of Harley guys think mine is a BMW. Most don't have a clue about the tuning fork.
I had to go look. I would have sworn that it said Yamaha by the Super Tenere. Nope. But, it does say it on the right side engine case. And, on the exhaust plastic cover. I've never had anybody mistake it for something else. . . . they just don't know what it is.It is amazing how many people, either those who ride or those who do not confuse at a distance or with a quick glance the Yamaha Tuning Fork
badge on the upper cowlings for the BMW Roundel. Also, besides on the Yammy OEM side cases the word Yamaha does not appear anywhere on the bike (I think?).
Forgot about that right side engine case however on my S10 it is kind of covered up by the ACD skid plate.I had to go look. I would have sworn that it said Yamaha by the Super Tenere. Nope. TOUCHE!! lolThis helps to offset that potential phenomenon:

Made by Powerbronze UK. The beak is very well made, ABS plastic with a stainless steel mesh insert. It mirrors the overall look of
the S10's upper cowling and lower fender. The mounting bracket is perfectly fabbed and is made of powder-coated metal and it fits spot on.
The reason I wanted a beak or some sort of high mounted fender is because I feel the area under the headlight housing is empty
and unfinished looking and I did not want to run a pair of PIAAs or a LED light bar there.
It is strictly for appearance, nothing else. Many folks on this forum and over on ADVRider have PM'd me for where to buy info.
I like the way it looks.
Cheers!
Because, because, because...to each their own, I guess. But why why why...
