    ADVMonster LED Headlight Bulb

Thanks for the replies. I believe the 4,800 lumens is supposed to be from one unit that has two LED emitters on it. Although I just read it again and the description talks about a high and low beam, so something is not right with the description. Yes, I see they are out of stock and I don't...

    ADVMonster LED Headlight Bulb

Has anyone tried this http://stores.advmonster.com/h7-r3-led-headlight/ H7 LED bulb? I would like to go to an LED headlight, but I haven't found any information on this product's use on a Tenere. It is a rather unique design, using a mesh heatsink protruding out of the back. I see it also...

Crash Pivoted Gear Shifter Straight up

Thanks for the info. I rode to work today and it seems fine. Other than the shift rod being very slightly bent I got off easy. Fortunately no sign of any leaks either. The shifter with the folding toe piece sounds like a great idea.

Crash Pivoted Gear Shifter Straight up

Thank you for the response. As active as this forum is, I was wondering why there were no responses. There is so much knowledge out there. You are correct about diagnosing a sound. I wasn't really asking whether my transmission was damaged. More is it normal to be able to hear it turning...

Crash Pivoted Gear Shifter Straight up

Can someone advise if they can hear a noticeable noise, like gears turning, when in neutral? It stops when the clutch lever is depressed. I am sure some noise is normal, but after jamming the gearshift I am wondering if something is damaged. Thanks

Crash Pivoted Gear Shifter Straight up

I managed to drop the bike in a low speed crash when the rear end slipped into a muddy rut again. I need to stay away from those things because it is exactly how I did it last time. This time it took the kick stand spring off and rotated the gear shifter upward to about 12 o'clock...

Sidi adventure boots "Rain" or "Gore-Tex"?

I can't speak for the Rain model, but I really like the Gore-Tex one. Aside from the squeaking when I walk. It is more noticeable indoors where it is quiet. I purchased them through motorama.it https://www.motorama.it/en/sidi-adventure-gore-boots-P5716.htm. They are currently $325.35 and no...

No where to put your phone

I got a RAM X-Griphttp://www.rammount.com/products/x-grip and have never had a problem with it. I also added a Webgrip http://www.gpscity.com/texel-webgrip-black.html to go with it because better safe than sorry. Cell phones aren't cheap. I have not had a chance to try it yet though. Not...

    Infantry farewell

That was a wonderful showing of respect and support. I would imagine it was also helpful for his comrades to be able to vent some of their emotions for his loss. It is heart wrenching to watch. I can empathize with their pain. LOD deaths are especially painful.

Thanks. That sounds like good advice.

    Front Fender Crack

Somehow I managed to crack my front fender. I am not sure how I did it, but am suspecting maybe a rock was picked up by the front tire. Not sure if that is possible, since I am still running the stock tires. I noticed it after returning for a fairly long ride on some gravel Forest Service...

Rubber grommet under rear rack behind pillion seat

I believe this will answer your question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEqJsfoodfs. I ran into this video somehow after I routed a wire through that grommet for an additional tail/brake light. I guess I won't be using the luggage rack in the lowered position now. I had no idea the rack...
