Forgive me for I have sinned

My '84 Nighthawk was pretty easy maintenance -wise. With hydraulic valve adjustment and shaft drive, I didn't have to do much but keep the carbs and fuel filter up to snuff.

I pulled the trigger but the bullet hit right in my heart...

That is a tough loss. Especially since it was self induced. The good news is Yamaha made more of them, and you can probably find one.

    Godzilla moves on....

Yes, and it feels it. Did my first dirt road stint with it today. Feels good and it'll work.

    Godzilla moves on....

I've put a few miles on the BeeStrom. It's no Super Tenere for sure, but.....I like the motor. The handling is good. The suspension is not as good as my ST naturally, but it's servicable. Same with the brakes. It's got a spoiler on the windscreen and wind management is surprisingly good. I'm...

    Godzilla moves on....

Understood. I demo'd a 2015 DL1000 one day, and a Super Tenere the next day. The V-Strom had great brakes and suspension, and handled well. Wind noise and turbulence were unbearable (with the stock screen). Riding position was ok, but it wasn't nearly as comfy as the ST. Adding shaft drive...

    Godzilla moves on....

Not to worry, yous haven't driven me off. Godzilla is moving on, but I'll still be around. It turned into a warm day here so I took the Wee out and hosed her off. I don't have title or keys yet, so no riding yet. It's just helping the anticipation build. Fun fact: the Wee was shipped to me and...

    Godzilla moves on....

Well gentlemen, the time has come for my beloved 2016 ES, aka Godzilla, to move on. I have recovered somewhat from my bout of CKD, but I don't have the strength I used to and the weight/height numbers are not in my favor. I'll be 70 next year and so have to re-adjust my goals. To be honest, I...

    Common Thread

I've always preferred short shifting where I can and appreciate a strong midrange, if not a stronger low end. My FZ1 loved revs, but is was plenty strong enough from 3 to 5-6k (Gen1). As a (ahem) "more experienced" rider, my go fast days are behind me. A nice, loping motor suits me just fine. I...

    Honda NC750X

Gotta say, you've got me intrigued. I've got to move on to a lighter bike, and the DCT aspect has me interested. A reliable, comfortable, easy to ride bike fits the mold. The only things that made me hesitate were the low power and small tank. At this stage in my life, the speed days are behind...
