Off-The-Road Clutch slave cylinder for lighter clutch lever pull - Install

I pulled the trigger yesterday. Will post up how it goes. I should've ordered OTR's braided clutch line, didn't even think of it. o_O

Getting on and off a S10

My knees are farked too, can't run at all. But I can still bend them so I guess I should count my lucky stars.

Getting on and off a S10

I'm only 5'7 in shoes with a 30" inseam. I just bend my right knee like I'm gonna throw a roundhouse kick and lift it over the seat, easy peasy.

SOLD: Arrow Exhaust Headers for Yamaha Super Tenere +10 hp.

When I put Arrow headers on my Gen 1 bike, it gained 7hp. Together with a flash it's a totally different bike!

Impressions of going from a 14ES to an 18ES

Yes, I found that out one day when my DCT decided to stop downshifting on my commute and remained in 3rd gear. Once I came to a stop the bike would no longer move forward because it has to be in 1st to do that. And when I turned it off it wouldn't start because it has to be N to do that...

Off-The-Road Clutch slave cylinder for lighter clutch lever pull - Install

Did the OTR clutch slave make it notably lighter? :)

    IF YOU HAD A CHOICE

Yeah, I saw that when I was looking into the Vstrom DE. Just odd that Suzuki wouldn't try to at least monetize it as an option. It would cost them very little since the bike has ride by wire already.

    IF YOU HAD A CHOICE

I'm ok with the riding position on my MT-09, but I'm just 5'7" with a 30" inseam. I did add highway pegs. :) The Vstrom looks like a nice bike, it's a shame Suzuki didn't make cruise control at least an option.

    IF YOU HAD A CHOICE

Same here. Was thinking maybe the latest Tracer GT could give me the best of both worlds of my Tenere and MT-09SP. Not crazy about the colors either though. Shame they got rid of the gold wheels, they really made that color look good.

    IF YOU HAD A CHOICE

A friend went from a 2021 KTM 690 that suffered from the soft camshaft problem to a Tuareg 660 and loves it.

Even if it's more reliable with better shift points, it still lacks that all-important clutch lever for modulating the power. The new E-Clutch sounds promising though.

I wish Yamaha had evolved the S10 and given it an up/down quickshifter. Love the one on my MT-09, a real labor saver in heavy traffic. Its clutch is also much lighter, which is nice when you're constantly using it.

Yeah, when I got the DCT I only thought about how easy my 40 mile commute through city traffic would be. Live and learn. It seems the Honda E-Clutch retains the clutch lever, so perhaps the best of both worlds...

I also had a DCT AT, mine was a 2016. Agree on the crappy build quality, in the 2 years I owned it the DCT broke down mid-commute, stranding me, and the fuel pump, idle control valve and headlight switch gear broke as well. What led me to sell it back to the dealer though, was the intermittent...

Impressions of going from a 14ES to an 18ES

I had a DCT Africa Twin. I really missed having a clutch to instandly modulate the power while doing u-turns and in a number of other situations, A good quick shifter takes away most of the busy work, but still gives the control only a clutch can provide.
