Just to be clear, the "tag" has the key code printed on it. You could write it in your owners manual, save it to your phone, tattoo it on....you get the idea... This only pertains to Yamahas WITHOUT immobilizer feature...I have no idea what those folks do...

Have a dealer run the VIN number through Yamaha. If you are lucky, the dealer who sold it new completed the corporate registration for new units. This would include the key code. Not all dealers are thorough enough to do this. Plan B is take the bike to a good locksmith that should be able to...
