    Installing ProTaper handlebars

I have Pro Taper bars and used expanding bolts to fit the handguards. They look like this and are called Rawlbolts in the UK. Fitting is simple as anything. You need to put the bar end bolt into the Rawlbolt before inserting into the bar. Expand the end just enough to get some friction against...

Rox 2" Risers and Jaxon long lines fitted - procedure

I bought some 2" Rox risers from Adventure Bike Shop here in the UK (http://www.adventurebikeshop.co.uk/brand-manufacturer/roxspeed/1R-P2PP) and tried fitting with the standard lines. Now I've got different handlebars, Renthal Twinwall 922, which are less swept and a bit higher (really nice bars...

Oxford + Pro Taper = NO GOOD

I have Pro Taper bars and Oxford grips. The clutch side was v tight but I just twisted (hard) and rammed the grip on. Its a snug fit for sure. I used some washing up liquid as lube.

WaspWorks decals on my Super Tenere...!!

If it's my bike you're referring to, it was blue before I put the carbon wrap on it. With the grey bike, yellow would look best I reckon. With the gold forks and yellow rear spring, the yellow stripes add a nice yellow accent to the bike.

WaspWorks decals on my Super Tenere...!!

The wrap was done by a professional setup called Boss Dog in Dorking, Surrey, UK (http://www.bossdog.co.uk/). I imagine there are numerous other places in different countries that could do the same (I note you are in Barcelona). Having watched it being done, it's very tricky to do right, and...

WaspWorks decals on my Super Tenere...!!

Don't get too excited - it's a carbon vinyl wrap rather than actual carbon fibre components (which would have cost a huge amount). Looks cool though, but tricky to apply to the complex shapes of the surfaces. So tricky that it's got to go back for a couple of bits to be re-done. All I need now...

Better throttle control with tweaked throttle tube

Nah - I still have the fabulous remap power, with more control.

Better throttle control with tweaked throttle tube

Having had my ECU adjsuted by Off-The-Road, I found it more difficult to get very fine throttle control at small throttle openings e.g. when filtering between cars or riding slowly in town. Even tiny adjustments to the throttle angle would have the bike leaping about as mega power was applied by...

Pelican 1510 case mounting to my Super Tenere

As a part time sports photographer, I need a way of getting camera gear to and from football matches. The case of choice is the Peli 1510, but mounting it to the bike is a tad tricky. I've managed to source an innovative mounting system, which I've written all about on my sports photography blog...

    Help with Tour of France

If you want fun, definitely head for the Alps. Briancon is a very good place to base yourself, and a nice town (in the old walled bit at least). You really are in a bikers playground around there - highly recommended.

    ECUnleashed UK

Having had my re-flash done at Off-The-Road, I think it is well worth it. In fact, I'd have paid more. No more stumbling and clutch dragging away from idle, more stomp in the first 3 gears, and a generally vastly improved throttle response.

Anyone Have the California Scientific Windshield?

I have the large size and a Wasp adjuster bracket. Whilst better than stock, and better than the larger Yamaha touring screen, it's not as good as I would have hoped. I still get quite a log of buffeting due to the screen not being wide enough. This manifests itself in turbulent air hitting the...
