2014 Yamaha Super Tenere, 9250 miles, still under factory warranty with an additional 4 years of YES starting in March of next year. I'm the second owner. GPS in the pictures is not included. I think the bike looks good but there are signs of use. OEM cruise control OEM heated grips Crash bars...

I've been afraid of this. Touratech has already stopped stocking parts for it, haven't they? I thought that was a bad sign.

Getting tires or minor service at off brand dealers hasn't been an issue. The only thing they usually can't do on the BMW is balance the rear wheel.

The BMW will run circles around the S10, handles and stops a lot better too. Folks here like to knock BMW's reliability but like most stuff on the internet, BMW's issues are overstated, and now I think pretty much behind them. Mostly it was the final drive on previous generations but you don't...

I'm going to guess skip a year or two and try to sell all new leftovers. There's still a 2013 on the floor up the road. I've had a couple of dealers tell me that when they finally get rid of what they've got they don't want any more.

It takes awhile. I did one two years ago and it was months before I got anything in the mail. I just transfered a YES last week and got a signed receipt from the finance manager and I'm sure get something in the mail in a month or two.

Here's another. I think I'd top out at $7500 if I was looking at a used Gen 1. There is a brand new 2013 leftover still on the floor at the dealer up the road. You could get it for less than 11K. A few sold last year for 9K new just to move them...
