    Anyone change their own tires?

I was using soapy water for many years, but I tried bullsnot this time for trailmax since everyone said it was very stiff. It turned out it was not as stiff as Bridgestone ax41, but this lub worked very well nonetheless. Make sure to use even when you break the bead. It pops out very easily...

    Sparkplugs

Hi Twinrider, I see NGK Japan doesn’t even list the plug there. I bought Denso iridium (IU24D) that some people here are skeptical about, but it works very well. I bought it at Autobacs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Manual calls to check spark plugs every 4K miles and replace every 12k miles FYI. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Denso says 0.5mm projected, so you don’t see it visually. That’s the whole point of me trying and reporting if you use iridium plugs elsewhere, but not been able to find one for S10 in your country. All I’m showing here is the plug works as it claims and it looks fine for few tens of thousands...

OK. My bad. It is hotter indeed. My CPR8B-9 was just almost perfect to a tad on hot side. So 7 is definitely to the wrong side.

ABS Light is On: Need Help.

By reading manual, this seems the best way to diagnose. http://www.forum.fjr13.org/viewtopic.php?t=6497 This is the case for FJR, but it seems to be the same for S10. More coupler info here. http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=10670.0

Hi guys, Denso 24 is NGK 8. So, I'm certain whatever 7 is colder. So, I wouldn't use it. 0.5mm projection is probably not very noticeable by a picture, but location of spark gap is very close to the OEM NGK and that's what I'm trying to show by the picture. IU24 is -0.5mm instead of +0.5 for...

Finally, got them from Japan. IU24D has 0.5mm projected tip and it is listed as s10 replacement. I installed it and ran 25 miles shake down. It started better, low end picks up better and both T and S mode is more responsive, noticeably. So far so good. Sent from my SM-G935L using Tapatalk

    Motoz Tractionator GPS

Hi Greg, I agree that tire looks ok as 4000 miles. I'm not surprised with wear and tear on blocks, although knobbies I use for DrZ which only last 1000 miles has better tear resistance than this tire. I didn't really expect the surface to get ripped so easily with a big bike conservative ride...

4000miles update. I have noticed cracking around rear tire blocks early on. So I thought the rear tire had to come out earlier, but it has been holding up ok. Performance on both paved and dirt are still pretty good, but the tread patterns seem to get ripped easily by rocks even though I am not...

Here goes 2000 miles update. I have been very happy with the performance both paved and dirt. I probably had 400+ miles of dirt to date, so 80/20 kind of usage. What's becoming noticeable and concerns me a bit are cracks. You can see cracks on base of each blocks as well as the bottom surface of...

Any tip for bar end removal

Do you know a impact driver like this? This is nice to have in your toolbox. Make sure you put enough WD40 kind of lubrication on thread area in case it is gulled. Good luck. This is a picture form Craftsman, but you can find similar stuff everywhere.
