Thanks for the useful threadd. I found this because my driveshaft is very stiff to turn and notchy. I suspect the pinion bearing. Can you tell me, does the ring gear and bearings require to be removed to change the pinion bearings? I'm at the stage of fabricating the bearing retaining nut tool...

The KTM has been great, I've owned it for four and a half years now and its with sadness that I'll be trading it in but I think it's time as it's been well used and will need some bug bucks spent to return it to its former glory. If I could afford the KTM and an S10 then I would... Cant beat...

Thanks for the input guys, the bike I'm looking at is a 2010 bike with only 7k miles on and looks like it's never seen a wet road, let alone any winter use. Just need to hit the YES button. It looks in better condition than most of the gen2 bikes in my budget. Bigbob...I'm in the UK.

Hi everyone, New to the forum as I'm looking at buying an S10 as my next bike. Currently have a KTM 990 Adventure that I'll be part exchanging a long with my '18 Street Triple. Hopefully if I take the plunge, I'll put some pics up of my next bike. Cheers
