You might try the side wind deflectors, exact copy of Yamaha part, available on EBay. They are about $35. The Yamaha ones are over $100 when I last checked.

I think the MadStad bracket is a must as it allows adjustment up and down and fore and aft to allow you to have many options. The "Yamaha" side wind deflectors, which there are numerous knock offs on EBay would help too. Im new to ST's but have one,also, on my VStrom and it, the MadStad, works...

It, actually, went off right after I rode a few feet! Im going to install a switch off the ABS Motor fuse like some have done here. I may never use it as when Im going to ride more difficult terrain I have a Honda XR650R and A KTM 400EXC.
