I am looking to purchase somebodies take off stockers. Let me know if you are interesting in parting with yours and how much you are looking to get out of them. Thanks.
Sold 2012 ST for sale (located in Santa Rosa Ca.) This bike has been very well maintained, never dropped and is near perfect cosmetic condition with 11K miles. Lots of extras included: ALTrider crash bars and skid plate, full factory luggage with all three yamaha inner liner bags, heated...
Skip lunch and you will be ahead with regards to the aluminum side stand. If they however provide a better way to get it with your foot it will be a win. The one on my bike is goofy for sure as it is a bit of a challenge to catch it on the first try......
That shudder you feel is definitely the clutch basket. The flash does smooth out the motor and help in other areas of performance but that mechanical vibration you feel in the low 3K rpm range is from the basket. Lots of reading here. http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=7606.0
I would love to have the new basket that has been designed for the 2014 model in my hands to check it out and see what they have done differently with the rubber damper assembly vs. the coil springs. They certainly are suggesting in their 2014 model promotion that it is to better control...
Yes, this is riding best left to the more-manly blue bikes! ::013::
::012:: Now that is a laugh I really needed today. I don't even have a snappy come back :-\
Great video for a rainy day. Really cool to see the guy jump the massive beast but not something I would want to do on my raven gem but pretty cool none the less.
I'm sure it will work to be able to remotely disconnect your ABS as it is just adding a switch inline with the current fused lead to the system. My only concern is if the wire gauge used for that switch and the switch itself will handle the current load of the ABS system as it is fused at...
Ok I would love to be able to switch it on the go too! Now we just need to find someone smart enough to figure out a great way to move the switch to the handlebars and make it adjustable on the fly. I have faith in the smarter than me guys on this forum so get to it :)
That is very interesting as it clearly shows a different configuration to the back of the clutch basket and it's damper assembly. It also looks like the rest of the parts/pieces are the same and the clutch basket is what has been upgraded. This is very good news that Yamaha apparently has at...

The post above has lots of information regarding the clutch basket. I have been using a modified/repaired basket from John (Sharealike) in my bike which no longer has the 3-4K vibration that I had in my bike since I bought it. Major...
I have the gen 2 flash with the open headers and PC for fuel management. The flash did a great job but I can really say the open header and exhaust with the PC made a big difference. My bike really hauls the mail and pulls right up to the redline if I dare ::012:: I say go for it!
