I nearly went the Jesse route since they were the first ones to get something right for the ES model, but at the time they stated they were 7-8 weeks out on the bags. I guess they have caught up now.
Congratulations...............the bike looks great. I hope to have my Givi Outback Trekkers...
Finally got word that the PL2119CAM adapters from Givi are now available and I have them on order. Hopefully they will arrive this week and will post pictures.
It has been clearly documented in this thread on numerous occasions that several bags will fit on the SW Motech mounts...................just not the Givi Trekker Outback 48 Litre ones that I want.
Just still waitin' on the Givi Trekker Outback adapters for the 2014 Tenere ES.
Want the 48L cases so I can carry a full size helmet on the inside.
I continue to call Givi in N. Carolina and ask for availability and I get the same answer which is "nothing yet".
See picture of the new model...
I'm exercising extreme patience because I want specific bags and I want the same manufacturers mounts so I don't end up with fabrication.
I'm aware of the other style of Givi bags and going to wait for the Outback Trekkers and Cam mounts.
Thanks for the info.

Long thread, but that is what happens sometimes when you are an early-adopter of technology like the '14 ES. Phone confirmation yesterday 6/27/2014 that the parts to mount the Givi Outbacks are now in production and hopefully available to us 'amuricuns' here in the near future.
Just to recap...
Does anyone know of a backrest that can be fitted to the rear rack of the Tenere? My wife likes the ride, but would prefer something to lean against. I'm really not wanting to put a top box on with a pad.
Thanks
Kevin from Twisted throttle is the one that gave me that information and he is active on this board, so maybe he will chime in. I was willing to order and called them, but got the information that I posted above.

I'm going to keep posting until all of this information is clear as a bone.
The SW Motech carriers are not compatible with the Givi Outback Trekkers. Aparently they work with the Givi Monokey lineup, but that is not what I am after.
So.............as of this posting..........5/8/2014, my only...
Thanks for the info. As for the skid plate I transferred the Yamaha brand skid plate from my 2013 to the '14 with no issues. The Yamaha engine guards went on with only a mod to the new wind deflector.
Thanks
Randy
I also have been in contact with the guys at Twisted Throttle (very helpful in every respect), and they contacted SW Motech and they indicated that they had already tested out on the ES and that their bags and mounts would work. We are (as usual) getting conflicting information. I suspect this...
Early adopters generally go through some hell before getting a better product all around.
I have it on good authority that Givi is altering their mounting kit to fit the ES, but it is likely to be 10-12 weeks before they are available here in the US.
