I'm an academic by day, hoping to instill some knowledge in future generations. I rode old school dirt bikes a bit as a kid then I traded a Cannondale bicycle for a rough looking, but sweet running 1979 KZ1000 when I was 16 years old. I have been addicted to motorized two wheelers ever since. My list of rides over the years...(bikes I still own in bold)

I started touring in earnest about 15 years ago on my FJR. I usually get on good 10-14 day trip in over the summer and multi-day weekend trips here and there. I have covered most of the big States in the west, as well as British Columbia/Vancouver Island (my favorite--I love those Canadians ). Otherwise, I enjoy my weekend day tripping through the Wasatch Mountains.
