No pics but I straighted out the mounts on my side cases (caribou I moved from my wee). Crashed a few years back and bent up the locking mechanism. Could bungie it "locked" the few times I needed cases. Unbolted stuff and banged on it in the vise. Works now. May eventually need to hit it with paint.
Yeah for the std, you want the ring with arm tools like whisperquiet posted.
You'll also need a ratchet strap to thread through the bottom. ...don't use your good straps though. The threads can frey the straps.
When did Sargent's get so expensive?!?! I thought a new Russell was only $800 (USD).
Flat seat mod and an IKEA sheepskin get me through a 6K mi ride the Canadia ok.
How bent are you? Like just not holding air or unround? When I bent mine I was on a trip, I slapped a tube in it and rode for another year... before shipping off to Woodies...
I have 'em. Happy with them for years. Moved them over from my vstrom. I've gone through multiple racks in wrecks, but the cases have held up.
Side open can be a little awkward.
They're heavy but I don't know how it compares to Al boxes.
