    What year 1200

Those differences such as seat and passenger hand rails only apply to the models sold outside of the US, such as Europe. The only difference between the ES and non-ES models for the US is electronic suspension and heated grips

    Fuel Mileage

I was down to my last fuel bar with it blinking and starting the count of how far I have driven since hitting "reserve" I arrive at the fuel station and only fill up 15 of 23 valuable liters...probably could have gone another 160km (100miles) until empty...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Picked my 2015 standard up from the dealer after having its 600 miles service done and installing the OEM heated grips that integrate with the bikes computer. Looking forward to being able to operate the bike at higher RPMs now.

What do we now think of the bike

Put the first 100km on it on Sunday, riding straight highway speeds, twisties, city, lots of traffic circle/roundabouts. Some roads were smooth, and others very rough. I never test rode the bike at all...all the forums indicated though it would be great, after having test ridden the new vstroms...

Gen 1 or Gen 2 ST? Oil or water BMW? Need input please.

I had the same question and started the following thread on ADVRIDER...even with the Hugh discounts I could realize on a new BMW, I went with the GEN 2 S10 for about $12,700....plenty to spare on farkles. http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/2015-bmw-r1200gs-or-2014-yamaha-super-tenere.1032678/

OEM grip heaters fro 2015 model

All, I might need to contact Yamaha, but wondered if any of you might know... I have a 2015 non ES bike that is US specs, but is with my in Europe. I am wondering if the OEM heated grips sold in Europe would be fine to connect to my bike, just as those sold in the US (same ones?) The parts...

Access to Givi Trekker (Not Outback)

I saw those on another ten ere the other day…look nice. I was starting to lean toward those, but think I'll stick with the original plan and go with the give trekker outbacks…more space and easier to load with the whole access being front-loading.

Need a skid plate if staying on tarmac?

OP here again…went ahead and ordered the Altrider skid plate in black. I figure it's piece-of-mind/insurance on the tarmac, and allows me to grow into the bike's capability and explore different type roads/trails as I come across them. The comment about going onto sidewalks, or over other...

Need a skid plate if staying on tarmac?

Awesome - thanks for the recommendation. If you have it, does it require the side stand being removed in order to remove the skid plate for oil changes? Thanks.
