I just got rid of mine today. Had enough of the plastic brackets chipping away every time I would lay the bike down on a dirt road.
but, I replaced them with Touratech Tacks and Tusk Pilot bags.
Mine has the same problem. When I bought mine almost a year ago, she had a leak in the right fork. I took her to the shop, and had both replaced. Three months later, the right one started leaking again. I do not wheelie or thrash her. I had both replaced at a different shop. Three months...
Situation: My license plate light bulb was out.
Mission: I needed to replace it.
Execution: As I was tightening the second bolt of the license plate light housing, a piece broke. The housing was not able to hold with just one bolt in.
Administrative and Logistics. Being an Ex-Special Army Seal...
Blue ST with OEM side cases. On 60 East from Wickenburg to Surprise Arizona.
He was with a friend riding a silver BMW sport tourer.
Sunday May 1st around 1:30pm.
Went to the local Cycle Gear to pick up some gloves....And saw this sexy beast.
So I had to park my ST next to her to show who's the real SEXY up in here!
I feel the same way about my ST. I have never heard of one until I saw one for sale and I thought it was sexier than the ADV competition. But getting on this bike for the first time felt like I've been riding it my whole life.
Glad you enjoy it.
After seeing sooooo many posts about cutting the heat shield...I finally decided to drink the cool-aid.
Shaved at least 50kg, and added 24hp!
Thanks for the inspiration fellas.
