Let me ask the obvious question: Does the government in Canada have a monopoly on motorcycle insurance? If not, are *all* private insurers tripling their rates on the Tenere?
What I typically find is that insurance is a game. There often is very little correlation between insurance rates among...
I use the Madstad with the factory touring screen and wings. I can't compare it to the other solutions but it's a huge upgrade over stock, and the adjustability is a very big deal.
Downside is that you're likely to expose the black plastic shroud in front of the instrument panel directly to...
Yamaha's reputation for reliability plus looong valve adjustment intervals are relatively reasonable servicing costs. That's the bottom line.
I don't trust my local Ducati dealer anymore at all after receiving really poor service last year. Ducati and BMW's shop rates for any services make my...
I wasn't getting a good deal in LA, so I negotiated a deal in San Diego and took the train. Poor man's plane? :) Actually, it was very nice. I hadn't ever taken a proper train ride before.
There are a few things you could do:
- wicking threadlocker (i.e. green loctite or permatex)
- ziptie crossing spokes together (so if one breaks it doesn't flail around)
- hit the spokes with some S100 protectant to mitigate the risk of rust (don't get it on the brakes)
I'd prefer to go with LEDs myself but the price tag is surreal.
Also, AFAIK switching to LEDs seems to always imply losing the "running lights" function of the conventional bulbs. I'd prefer not to lose that, help keep the bike conspicuous for folks who aren't paying much attention.
Getting ready to do my first TBS - Do you need all the fittings (hose/T/clamps/barbs/caps) even if you don't plan on leaving anything attached to the TBs?
Thanks.
Just in case anyone missed the news, Grok is back with a new production run of Harmonizers.

Time to find out what all the fuss is about! ::016::
Apparently R and G and Bikemaster are both made by the same supplier. Did you wire it directly to the battery or pick up some pins and fit them to the OEM heated grip connector?
If directly to the battery, I assume that you have to remember to turn them off when you walk away, yes?
