Needed to clear the head, so out for a leisurely 150km, country loop, quick photo at Mt Macedon, Victoria, Australia, last weeks of Autumn so a little cool and drizzly.
These are from a company not too far from home, STEDI.com.au. (H7 collars already fitted)
I have also fitted there C4 auxiliary lights.
The company has a good following here in Australia.
Thanks, have them up and down, tried them at night, real sharp cut off to the beam pattern, will give then a 90 degree twist left/right respectively, see how that goes
LED's fitted, will see how they go (or last)
These are projector light specific, they are a bladed design, two LED chips at the tip (maybe 45 degrees)
Was a bit of a squeeze fitting everything in and getting the caps back on. If they work great, if not back to halogen with the AUX lights filling...
Like many on here I fitted the larger caps purchased from member "deftoner"...great vendor to deal with, shipped all the way to Melbourne, Australia.
Like many the world of LED globes is a mine field.
I have fitted AUX lights, on the off chance of not finding a worthwhile H7.
Having hit one too...
This is a timely post as I just purchased a mint 2005 Ducati ST4S, I think it compliments the S10...both are twins, the Ducati is black and my S10 has some black on it....perfect.
Added the last part of the Ravetech bash plate/sump guard...some above posts reference the fender extenda, this is a similar idea, done in a different way.
Initially I didn't order this part as I thought I would make one up myself, had made a cardboard template, but when I priced up some...
Replied to this post yesterday, and just so happens, I arrived at work this morning, went to open the top box lid, I'd like to say "to my surprise it was open", but I can't...seems an intermittent issue.
My ride to work is 70km, country roads, I only put my lunch and drinks in the top box...
This has happened to me on a number of occasions, luckily, I haven"t lost anything, my top box is generally half to 3/4 filled at any time, and with nothing expensive, as I have lockable Bumot panniers that I trust more
Ravetech Bash plate/Sump guard arrived from Thailand...after a quick read of the instructions fitted up the front and rear brackets, then bolted up the guard, with a little bit of a wiggle everything fitted up nicely.
This is a solid well made piece of kit, all the tolerances are perfect.
The...
The old PIAA tenere kit was H7 same as the headlights, the new PIAA LP 530 are LED, the old H7 are pretty useless...I'm in a similar position to you Steve, my commute to and from work is kangaroo paradise, in two years I've hit 3 of the buggers on my FJR1300 (no longer have) have been...
I just replaced my T10 globes, if your screen is high enough you can just remove the bolts that attach the headlight, then with a little bit of fidgeting you can get your fingers in to turn, pull out and replace the globes, if your screen isn't high enough you need to remove the screen
