Super Tenere 2012 for sale. 15700 miles. Excellent condition. Greater Boston.

hi all, I'm selling my Blue 2012 Yamaha Tenere 1200. I ride on pavement and light trails, never had an accident. It's in excellent condition, with 15,700 miles, always maintained by my mechanic and lives in my garage. Clean title, no issues, ready to ride. I'm asking $6,995 cash or paypal...

    Is this battery ok?

Yeah that was my original goal, but I could not find it locally and I'm heading out of town tomorrow for Dirtdaze ::012:: (https://dirtdazerally.com/). I'm always surprised how little local inventory of bike stuff (parts, tires, gear) I can find around Boston.

    Is this battery ok?

thanks for the explanation of why it matters. I ended up getting the Xtreme AGM Z14S, instead of the 12S I had originally found. The bike is happy to start and ride again.

    Is this battery ok?

Cool! On my way to pick it up, I'll ask if the have the 14S and upgrade to that if they do. BTW, what's the whole cranking amp? How much power they deliver on startup? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Is this battery ok?

Hi All, I need a new battery, mine is from 2012 (when bike was first bought) and it will just not charge anymore. I pulled teh battery out and its a Yuasa YTZ12S. I can only buy that online and it takes a few day sto get here and I need to go away on a trip on Tueday. Only locally available...

Would someone do me a favour please

Keep in mind that left pannier has a narrower interior dimension in the bottom half. This is to avoid the exhaust. Right pannier interior width is 8.25". Left pannier interior width at the bottom is 6.4" (same at the top) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

400 lbs is the magic number

I've been thinking about this weight issue for a while. I've been in love with my S10 for most situations. I use it almost daily if there's no snow or I don't have to take my kid with me. For long trips she is awesome on all kinds of roads, I prefer back roads and lately I started doing more...

Pine Barrens Adventure Camp Riding School

I took the Pine-Barres adventure camp weekend this past september with some friends. I had my S10, there were a few other bikes like 5 GSes, then some mid-sizes like Triump 800s, and GS 800. The course was absolutely awesome. I learned a lot in two days and gave me a lot of confidence on road...

Can the 2014 Super Tenere ES alternator handle this?

can my 2012 S10 handle all this heated gear? hi all, I have a 2012 SuperTenere with heated grips, and one cigarette outlet I use as phone charger. I also have installed a pair of Denali D4s hooked to the battery with a relay. I want to ride all winter when there's no ice/snow on ground. And...

installing Denali D4. Help finding switched 12 volt wire. Search didn't help

here you can see the difference of the road surface detail right n front of you. Of course this is not very accurate because my iPhone's camera is self-adjusting to the variance of lights, but you get the idea. In summary: these lights kick serious ass. I think I'll do a lot more night riding...

installing Denali D4. Help finding switched 12 volt wire. Search didn't help

Originally I was thinking the same but then I realized that length of vision (what high bean gives me) does not seem to be my main problem, but rather: 1. width around me, and use that wider bean to also illuminate when I'm on curves or twisties, since the regular lights keep pointing straight...

installing Denali D4. Help finding switched 12 volt wire. Search didn't help

Hi Dave, all, thanks for the advice. I asked a local friend and gave me a good tip of how to find my cable: "get a multimeter and see what cable gets 12v when teh ignition is one and no voltage when ignition is off. So I bout a $25 multimeter from Sears and did just this and it all worked.

BTW, the only thing I've found that shows where the powered wire could be is this pots: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=14869.msg232179#msg232179 So if I look at my bike I can see a bunch of red wires here:
