    Performing first service

Money is very tight right now, so I am thinking of doing my own first service. I am not very mechanically savvy but I can handle changing the oil and final drive fluid. If I do just that, is that sufficient for a first service?

    SmellyBelly crash bars

While at the dealer today, he was talking up the SmellyBelly crash bars for the Super Tenere. Says they've proven to be high quality on the VStrom and NT700V's and they are just getting into the S10 market. I can't find anything about them online. Anyone have experience with these crash bars...

Either way, based on the info that has been posted here, the Super...

Buying, operating, and doing my own maintenance

I own a 2008 R1200GS with 81,000 miles on it. It's time to sell it. I have spent $8,214.12 on maintenance on the bike. So basically it is 10 cents per mile. It is my understanding that the Super T is much less expensive to maintain. Does anyone have a per mile number to keep the bike on the...
