    washing klim goretex clothing

I don't wash my Klim Gortex stuff often, but do fron time to time. Honestly, just follow the instructions on the label. There's no reason to not. I just make sure to pull all the armor out and zip every zipper prior to the wash. It's always been fine and I've never had an issue. I can't tell...

    GPS

Madsadt windscreen crossbar works well. It doesn't vibrate and allows for positioning for good line of site without having to move eyes from the road. I think the OEM accessory bar will vibrate too much. The madsadt has side supports that take care of vibration. Eville Rich 2016 S10

    Clutch Sounds Like A Tractor

I like how 7100 smells fresh out of the jug. 7100 is fine oil. I may go back to it. I didn't change oil to fix rattles, just observed a difference in sound. I'm not reading too much into it.

Mount Washington - Return To The USA(And then There was Three) Part 1

That road makes my palms sweat. I drove up it in 2017. The late afternoon sun created a batch of blind corners that made it impossible to see if someone was coming down from around the bend. I might almost prefer it on a motorbike just to have a little more wiggle room. Just thinking about...

    Clutch Sounds Like A Tractor

It's gonna rattle. I found a difference in the sound with my latest oil change. I went from Motul 7100 to trying out Mobil 1. Seemed a little more pronounced. But it was rattly with either oil. Just the nature of the beast. Eville Rich 2016 S10

    TracTive Suspension

Last fall I did a few things: 1) Lubed the swingarm 2) Installed a TracTive rear shock from Beemershop 3) Replaced work Scorpion Trail 2 tires with Dunlop Trailmax Missions I rode the bike between doing the swingarm/rear suspension and installing the tires in order to compare. I have to say -...

    Speed Bleeders

I believe that Revzilla's list of speed bleeder numbers includes the Tenere. I've put them on my bike. The post mentioned above should have the numbers you need. For what we reason Speed Bleeder's own list seems less complete than Revzilla's. Regardless, I'm a huge fan of speed bleeders have...

    It's So Freaking LOUD!

I got the SW-Motech extenders. They are overpriced for what they are, but at the time, the only ones I felt confident in the fitment. Others seem to have had luck with more reasonably options. I don't k ow about those options, but have seen them discussed in various posts. I think they can be...

    It's So Freaking LOUD!

I had a lot of wind noise and buffeting on my 2016. Added the winglets, helped a bit. Tried a number of different screens, happiest with Cal Sci. The on thing that really did it for me, though, was getting mirror extenders. Just pushing them out a little further gave me better visibility and...

Barnett pressure plate upgrade; well-worth the investment

I've had my Barnett pressure plate (light springs) for about two years on my 2016. It was a big improvement over stock. Highly recommended! Glad to hear you are enjoying it. Eville Rich 2016 S10

    Electrified

So, I work in the utility sector and do EV forecasting plus load management as part of that work. The patterns of charging for residential EVs are fairly consistent and there are real active and passive EV load management programs that have been proven out. Unmanaged charging has shown a roughly...

    S10 Again

When you think about a tube, you are welcome to come ride mine. I did the Hulkss tune with Power Vision 3 and have been pretty happy with it over this year. You probably don't recall, but I'm in SC Wisconsin, not too far from Fulton. Feel free to come over if riding a tune would be helpful...

Rear swingarm removal/service - tips or tricks?

I'm going to be removing my rear swingarm to lube things up and check it over later this fall. 36,500 miles on my 2016 S10 (not ES). I'm also going to be replacing the rear shock with aftermarket. I've got the FSM and have gone through the various posts related to swingarm removal. I think I...
