    Head lights problem

I thought I would follow up on this post in hopes that others don't make the same mistake that I did. It is easy to think that you have an ECU problem after reading some of these posts. In fact, I thought I had a bad ECU because I couldn't find any problems! It turned out that I was the...

    Head lights problem

I called the dealer today and they confirmed that the harness replacement was recorded in their database just before I purchased the bike. Time to pull the plastic again and work my way through all the pins in the harness.

    Head lights problem

It is a 2013. The dealer said he installed the new wiring harness prior to me picking up the bike but I am not certain how to verify that.

    Head lights problem

I know this is an old post, but my headlights stopped working after 27k miles. I found both bulbs blown but they didn't light even after I replaced them. I basically unplugged the wiring harness an plugged it back in and the head lights worked! Unfortunately, after I buttoned the bike back up...

    *** SOLD *** 2007 BMW R1200GS - NW Ohio

Re: 2007 BMW R1200GS - NW Ohio This is a great bike, I have ridden it! Let all your BMW buddies know they can pick up a 12GS for a great price from BarkSlayer. Too bad the Russell seat doesn't fit on the ST or I would buy if from him. My rear end has never been so comfy. Good luck with the...

    Future 2013 ST Owner

I have owned my new ST for 4 months now and have ridden it almost 3000 miles so it is time to loop back and give you all my impressions. As many of you so clearly told me in response to my initial posting, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Well I must say, I now think the ST is a VERY...

    Are Jesse Bags Transferrable?

Hi All, I have been researching the best bags to buy for my 2013 ST and it keeps coming back to Jesse for me. I really like the bags but wonder if I decide to sell the ST several years down the road, will I be able to use my bags on the next adventure tourer I might buy? Jesses are a big...

    Madstad support bracing

Wow howier! You sure did load up the bar! I like your mod the best since you made the support smaller by mounting the bar in a new hole in the bracket and you painted them black :). It is good to know that you have had success. After thinking about the problem more, I think the best...

    Madstad support bracing

As a new Tenere owner with a Madstad bracket, I too suffer from the vibration issue. The engineer in me can't let this one go. I want to mount my radar detector on the cross member. No big deal I thought, but when I did, it flopped around so much that I couldn't stand it. After studying the...

    Tap into rear brake light?

I will answer my own question. I purchased the 12-18 AWG grey positap connectors since I measured the OD of the wires and they appeared to be 18 AWG. The grey ones work fine. I suspect the red 18-24 AWG connecters will work too since there is overlap in sizes. Also, here are the wiring taps...

    A More Affordable Flash Option?

Wow! I am one of the lucky ones too since I received mine back today and installed it. I could only ride for 20 miles or so but wow! What a difference. I don`t blame Anthony for jacking the price. It was a steal for $125 and still a bargain for $225. Thanks for hooking me up Anthony. I will...

    Tap into rear brake light?

Hi, I plan to tap into my rear tail light wiring and posi taps seem to be a solid solution. My question is, what size taps do you need? AWG 14-16? Also, does anyone know where to buy them locally or are they mail order only. Thanks! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    Future 2013 ST Owner

I picked the bike up on Friday, rode to my uncle's house for the night in KY, I made it home in NC on Saturday...480 miles of twisty back roads total. I must say, the girl has grown on me! I liked the looks when I saw her in person, but after spending some "quality time" with her, she is...

    Future 2013 ST Owner

The Jetson whining noise was unique but boy did I like that motor in the twisties...I used engine braking the whole time...but talk about HOT! That motor dumped heat on my left leg in a serious way. I had to remove cowlings in the summer to dilute the heat in the flow stream. I know the Yam...

    Future 2013 ST Owner

I plan too ::26::. I have about 370 miles to ride home from the dealer after a fly and ride but I will break her in properly. There is theory and reality. It might not take much to impress me given my current ~80HP tractor motor. I have indeed test ridden the ST but it didn't blow my socks...
