I called the dealer today and they confirmed that the harness replacement was recorded in their database just before I purchased the bike. Time to pull the plastic again and work my way through all the pins in the harness.

It is a 2013. The dealer said he installed the new wiring harness prior to me picking up the bike but I am not certain how to verify that.
