For those of you who don't want to wear your padding like a diaper, have you considered a sheep skin seat cover? I bought mine from here: http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com and love it. You don't have to walk around with it in your pants, it stays on the bike.

I would make them take it back and give you a refund. Then get yourself a Jesse top case.

Sorry to hear and see that. Would be wise to inspect those front forks very carefully to make sure they are not bent. That wheel took a really big hit.
