Black Bear Pass into Telluride for the most part is not that difficult. The "Steps" are solid rock and steep going down, the big deal is the mental part of the shear drop just on the left side of the trail, at this point you can see Telluride several hundred feet below! Just hang right along...

This is a route I really want to do on my Tenere while in Colorado. I've done it several times om my 530, its no big deal. Maybe a bit more challenging on the Tenere and slower. But IMO this is the best Adventure route by far in that part of Colorado. MapQuest says 16+ hours, thats way...
