had it happen to me on my 14 the morning of trip to wv and nc. I think I may have caused it. I was in a hurry to get started, turned on the key and hit the starter before the fuel pump pressurized completely. u guys probaby have something else going on but for me I always wait till pump stops...

Thx. Just took apart, cleaned and lubed. It was bone dry with even a bit of blue loctite on the pivot portion of bolt from the factory. Found the other thread about this problem. Simple maintenance item to be checked during oil changes in future.

Put the touratech piece on mine. also bulletproof. had givi outback 42l on it for 5000 mi. that piece itself weighs 13lb. just mounted a 46l kappa(10lbs) sideways on it. fits between oem panniers w no room to spare.
